Re: Paintball

Now I may not be the biggest Dennis Kucinich fan but this is never appropriate.  Not in this case, not in any case.  I hope they get whomever is responsible for this and throw the book at them.  This is out of the realm of politics.  It is possible to not like a person’s politics and still like them or at least respect them as a person.

Kucinich’s house hit with paint balls

CLEVELAND — Rep. Dennis Kucinich’s house got a new coat of paint, but it wasn’t done with brushes or rollers.

Two unknown vandals, believed to be teenagers, shot Kucinich’s house last week with paint balls.

The congressman’s wife, Elizabeth, told police she heard banging noises on the side of their Milan Avenue home about 1:30 a.m. Thursday. When the sun rose, she noticed the paint balls.

Later that night, the vandals returned and lobbed more orange paint balls on the front and side of the house. Elizabeth Kucinich watched the teens sprint away and jump fences through the neighborhood. She then washed the paint away with a hose, a police report said.

Police have no suspects.

Re: Election 2008

First of all before I introduce what this blog is all about, I would be remiss without acknowledging the historic victory of Senator Barack Obama yesterday.  Congratulations to you sir.  I voted for you.  Let’s hope that you are actually about changing things and not just telling us what we want to hear.

Now the true purpose of this blog.  The people of the State of Ohio’s Congressional 10th District have decided to reelect Dennis Kucinich again.  And amongst other things that people in Ohio voted for or did not vote for, it boggles my mind that voters would reelect Dennis.  What the hell has Dennis Kucinich done for his district or the state of Ohio?  I don’t know or perhaps I am not sure.  So since nobody wants to vote him out of office, I am going to dedicate myself to writing a blog about good old Dennis.  So what you will see here is documentation of what Dennis Kucinich does as a Congressman.   I will probably put my two cents in but I will also make sure that I present the facts and my sources behind the facts.

So for my first blog, I am going to include the numbers from yesterday’s Ohio 10th Congressional District election.

U.S. House – District 10 – General

Ohio – 641 of 641 Precincts Reporting – 100%
  Name Party Votes Vote %
Kucinich , Dennis (i) Dem 153,357 57%
  Trakas , Jim GOP 106,489 39%
  Conroy , Paul Lib 10,278 4%

Not really too much to comment on this one than I already have.  But how is it that I have no idea whom Jim Trakas and Paul Conroy?  I heard no advertisements on either of the candidates.  Now I listen to talk radio on both the FM and AM dial and I have heard a ton of political adds.  But not a peep from Dennis’ opponents.  Perhaps that’s how Dennis keeps winning.  I did find out last night that I have actually met Jim Trakas.  Mr. Trakas was dating the aunt of a girl that I used to date almost ten years ago.

You do realize that Congress has more power than the President.  The President is more high profile but when it comes down to Congress has a big role in the decision making of the United States government.  That is something to keep in mind when you are thinking about putting someone like Dennis Kucinich.  But you did vote him in and I am going to keep a watchful eye on him and make him accountable for his actions.
